And he walks!!

I can't believe he is just 10 months old and walking already! Oh poor Karen her job just got even harder!!
We are counting the days until we are all together--can't wait to spend time with ALL of my family on the cruise--there will be 18 of us! How fun is that going to be--I will get lots of pictures!!

TEN MONTHS OF COLLIN CUTENESS!!

JUST LOOK AT THIS ADORABLE SPAGHETTI COVERED FACE!!

WOW CAN YOU BELIEVE OUR LITTLE ONE IS 10 MONTHS OLD TODAY!! I got the joy of spending some time on the web cam with him and his Daddy and Mommy tonight! What fun! I am so thankful that technology is available so we get to see him and enjoy some of his cuteness! Karen and Jason are SO good at sending pictures and getting on the web cam! Web cam time just does this Grandma good!! He (and his Mommy and Daddy) have had a couple rough weeks dealing with double ear infection! Poor little family! But it looked tonight that he was on the mend--hopefully he'll start sleeping so they can sleep too!

I have had the best of intentions several times to get on here and update but something always comes up----jobs, life, Internet problems, computer cliches etc.....so I am going to try to do better and get some pictures of that cute little grandson of mine posted and get you updated on life from my perspective!!

They are really enjoying their time as a family and Jason is loving being home with Karen and Collin!

Collin Loves Bath time!

Bath time brought lots of giggles and big smiles! It was our nightly entertainment!!

HERO REPORT

We have held Karen in our hearts through this deployment as much of a hero as Jason is! They both have sacrificed so much for our country and we honor both of them! The above picture is Karen talking on the phone to Jason! The only place you can get cell phone reception at the ranch is on top of the cellar hill! So.....Karen wasn't going to let anything stop her from getting a chance to talk to Jason so up the hill she went!! I love this picture but I am very happy to report that Karen isn't going to have to climb hills or run for cell phone calls much longer!!!

HE IS COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason should be in the United Sates and back to their home in North Carolina before the end of next week! Karen is still at her folks so she is packing and preparing for the trip from Wisconsin to North Carolina! I am so proud of this little family and can't wait for them to be together and for Jason to get to know his son!
Will keep you posted!! Thanks again for your prayers and support!! Check out the Military Support and 4th of July Service at Countryside Community Church website: www.teamcountryside.com -mulitimedia-special events and the Love and Sacrifice Sermon

It was so fun to have the girls together! We enjoyed getting to know Sarah all grown up!
Grandpa Alvin just happened to have his truck at the house so he could get some pictures of it with Collin!! He can't wait until Collin is old enough to go in the truck with him!!

And Uncle Shaun can't wait to take Collin on the dirt bike!!

Collin and Great Granddad Bruce
Hanging out with Grandpa Alvin

Great Grandma Peggy and Collin
Whatever we did we found lots of photo ops with Collin! It was a little hard to catch him smiling--he would be smiling and laughing and as soon as the cameras came out he would stop!! We did manage to get some good pictures that captured his cuteness!!

I'm A Really Bad Blogger!!!

Wow I can't believe how long it has been since I updated! Sorry!! We had so much fun when Karen, Collin and Sarah where here that I didn't take time to blog and then I had an issue with my computer that wouldn't let me down load pictures and I certainly didn't want to blog without being able to post pictures so.......but I finally have my computer fixed and have a little time so I'm back!!

We certainly did have a great time having the girls and Collin here! We were very busy...concerts, hikes, picnics, trips to the Tower and to the farm, shopping and then some great times just hanging around the house letting Collin entertain us!! He certainly was the center of attention whatever we did!! He is such a good baby and Karen is an amazing Mommy. Alvin and I got such joy out of just watching the two of them interact and how wound up she could get him....we loved listening to his giggles!

TIME FLIES!!!

Just reflecting today how time flies!! Thirty two years ago today Alvin and I were married!! It was a whole lot hotter that day than it is today--we are at a pleasant 63! I can't believe it was that long ago and all the adventures we have had since then!! And now we are GRANDPARENTS!!!! A year ago today Jason and Karen called to wish us Happy Anniversary and to tell us that Collin was on his way!! Now we are counting the days until Karen and Collin are here to visit (14) and then we are counting down until Jason is home!

Isn't he just the cutest!!

WAY TO GO JASON!!

Jason was officially promoted this week to Sargent First Class!! We are so proud of him!! I am still having a hard time getting used to the beard! Thank you for your continued prayer for Jason and his team. We are so grateful for all of the support our family and friends have given over the years to our family.

SPECIAL DELIVERY!!

We have all had those moments in our parenting where we wish we could just ship the kids somewhere!! Well Karen had one of those moments one day! Collin was being a stinker so she stuck him in this box and told she was sending him to his Daddy! I don't think he was very worried do you?? Too Cute!! We are so proud of Karen, she has done such a great job being a single mom during Jason's deployment! We are so happy that she is spending some time with her folks--getting a little bit of a break and Collin is getting to spend some time with Grandma Carol, Grandpa Corey, and Auntie Sarah! We are counting the days until they come to visit us!! It will be so fun to have them here!!

HE IS GETTING SO BIG!!

Karen posted some pictures on her facebook page --so I copied a few so you could see how big our little guy is getting!! Look back at the post I did the first part of March--you can see how much he has grown!

We are counting the days until Karen and Collin come to visit!! Karen's Dad Corey and Sister Sarah are flying out to North Carolina May 18th to gather up Karen, Collin, Sadie and Mater and make the trip to Wisconsin. Karen will spend some time at her folks. Sheri is in a wedding there in June so she will fly there and then Sheri will drive here with Karen and Collin (and the doggies too!) So we will get to have them here for a visit!

Great Granddad and Grandma McAmis are very excited to finally meet Collin! It will be so fun and I am so glad that Karen will get a break from this single mom life she has had to live the last couple months! We are so proud of her. She has done such a good job of handling things with Jason gone but I am happy she will have some willing Grandma's and Aunties and others to give her a little break!!

Enjoy these!

Thanks for checking in on the McAmis Family Moments and thanks for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers!!

He continues to make us proud with his service to our country!
Here is a look at him in his new role!! Doesn't look like a typical soldier anymore does he??!!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support of Jason and Karen and Collin!

More Collin Smiles

Thanks Karen for sending these new smiles that made my day!! Hopefully Collin's Auntie Sheri will bring me some more new pictures to post. Sheri is there visiting Karen and Collin this week! I am so jealous but guess it was Sheri's turn to get in on some visits!!
